Lake Bled Island Church

The only island in Slovenia and one of Europe's most iconic images — a small island in the middle of Lake Bled reached by traditional gondola-like wooden rowboats (pletna), with a 15th-century church and a 99-step staircase tradition: Slovenian grooms carry their brides up the stairs for luck.
