Denmark's most visited attraction — Edvard Eriksen's 1913 bronze statue of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale heroine, perched on a rock in Copenhagen harbour. Smaller than expected, more atmospheric than photos suggest. The 15-minute walk along the harbour from Nyhavn is part of the experience.
