The only tropical rainforest in the US National Forest System, in the Luquillo Mountains east of San Juan, with cloud forest, observation towers, rivers and trails. The popular La Mina Falls trail has been closed for construction, so check the Forest Service site for which trails and waterfalls are open before you go. Recreation areas close by 5pm.
