🏔️ Nature in Gothenburg
Sweden
About Gothenburg for Solo Travelers
Sweden's most likeable city where the world's biggest cinnamon buns are served in wooden 19th-century cafés, and ferries depart daily into a beautiful West Coast archipelago.
Solo Travel Tips· Solo Friendly
Gothenburg is Sweden's most likeable and underrated city for solo travelers — the Haga neighbourhood's wooden houses and legendary cinnamon buns (världens största kanelbulle — world's biggest), the Universeum science museum, and the archipelago accessible by ferry make it excellent. The Liseberg amusement park is surprisingly fun solo. Very English-speaking and very welcoming. Easy ferry connections to Denmark and Norway.
