About Košice for Solo Travelers
Slovakia's eastern capital where the largest Gothic cathedral in the country anchors a charming pedestrian street and solo travelers discover a city that gets almost no international attention.
Solo Travel Tips· Solo Friendly
Košice is Slovakia's second city and Eastern Slovakia's cultural capital — the St. Elisabeth Cathedral (largest in Slovakia) and the charming Hlavná Street are excellent solo walks. The city is very affordable, very walkable, and has a surprising underground art and music scene. Good base for day trips to the Slovak Karst (Domica Cave) and the Tokaj wine region across the Hungarian border.
