Solo Travel Tips· Solo Friendly
Lucerne is Switzerland's most picturesque solo destination — the Chapel Bridge (Europe's oldest wooden covered bridge), Mount Pilatus and Rigi (accessible by cable car and cogwheel railway), and the Lion Monument are all within easy solo reach. Lake Lucerne boat cruises are lovely solo and group you with other travelers naturally. The Swiss Museum of Transport is outstanding for solo half-day. Very walkable and very safe.
