Costa Rica
About Manuel Antonio for Solo Travelers
Costa Rica's most biodiverse national park where solo travelers share Pacific beaches with capuchin monkeys, spot sloths in the trees above, and swim in one of the country's most beautiful coves.
Solo Travel Tips· Solo Friendly
Manuel Antonio National Park is Costa Rica's most visited and most rewarding solo nature experience — white-faced capuchin monkeys are literally on the beach, sloths hang at eye level on the entrance road, and the park trail to the viewpoint is beautiful. Arrive early (park has a daily visitor limit). The beach outside the park is safe for solo swimming. Quepos town nearby has budget accommodation and good restaurants.
