About Prague for Solo Travelers
Europe's most fairy-tale medieval capital — solo travelers cross Gothic bridges, climb Baroque towers, and find in Czech pub culture one of the continent's most naturally communal solo dining experiences.
Solo Travel Tips· Solo Friendly
Prague is one of Europe's great solo travel cities — the Old Town Square, Charles Bridge, and Prague Castle are all walkable from each other, the metro is excellent, and the Czech pub culture makes solo drinking at a shared long table deeply normal. Vinohrady neighbourhood has better local restaurants than the touristy centre. The city is safe but watch for tourist-area pickpockets. Day trips to Český Krumlov and Kutná Hora are extraordinary solo.

Cross Club Prague
Nightlife
Prague's most extraordinary nightclub — an industrial complex of pipes, gears, and screens in Holešovice that looks like the set of a steampunk film. Multiple floors of techno, drum & bass, and experimental electronic music. The outdoor terrace and the décor alone are worth the trip.

Hemingway Bar Prague
Nightlife
One of Europe's great cocktail bars — a tiny, perfectly appointed Art Deco bar in the Old Town where the bartenders in white jackets make the finest pre-Prohibition cocktails outside of New York. The absinthe service and the Hemingway Daiquiri are legendary.
