The wholesale fish market moved to Toyosu in 2018, but Tsukiji's outer market lives on: about 460 shops and stalls selling fresh sushi and seafood bowls, tamagoyaki omelette, knives and kitchenware. Most shops open early and close by early afternoon, and it's closed on Sundays and some Wednesdays. Eat at the stalls rather than while walking.
