Phuket is Thailand's most developed island and very solo-accessible — the Phi Phi Islands and Phang Nga Bay speedboat tours group solo travelers naturally, and the beaches (Kamala, Kata Noi) are good for solo sunbathing. Patong is the party beach; Kata and Karon are calmer. Old Phuket Town has excellent street art and coffee shops far removed from the tourist beach scene. The Sunday Walking Street in Old Town is excellent for solo food grazing.
