More local, more atmospheric, and less touristy than the Saturday market. Essential solo evening.

Ton Lamyai Flower Market
The most photographed market in Chiang Mai — a predawn wholesale flower market next to the Ping River, where mountains of tropical blooms, garlands, lotus flowers, and orchids are traded every morning from 3am. The colours and scents at sunrise are extraordinary. Also sells fresh produce, hill tribe vegetables, and local Thai sweets. Come before 6am for the best experience.
