About Busan for Solo Travelers

Korea's ocean city where a temple clings to sea cliffs, a neighbourhood of painted houses climbs a hillside, and the world's freshest raw fish is eaten at dawn in the harbour market.

Solo Travel Tips· Solo Friendly

Busan is South Korea's most relaxed and scenic city for solo travelers — Haeundae beach, the Gamcheon Culture Village (coloured hillside houses), and the Jagalchi fish market are all excellent solo experiences. The KTX bullet train from Seoul takes 2.5 hours. The Haedong Yonggungsa temple on the cliffs above the sea is one of Korea's most beautiful and photogenic solo stops. The jjimjilbang saunas are excellent social solo evenings.
